Earth Partnership is a collaborator on this project, a university-wide initiative to advance anti-racism in higher education. HEAL has supported key aspects of Earth Partnership’s Indigenous Arts and Sciences work, including:
- Implement and share the IAS Science Education model as a way to address academic inequities.
- Improve and strengthen multiple pathways for Native students to STEMM careers.
- Increase recruitment, retention, and graduation of Native students in higher education.
- Educate students and educators to work towards social justice, equity, inclusivity, and sustainability in relationship to the land and each other.
- Identify best practices among collaborations between the Karuk Tribe and University of Washington and UW-Madison and Tribal partners with a focus on land restoration, stewardship, and Tribal/university relationships.
