While we are looking forward to the day when we can all be in person again, Earth Partnership – Indigenous Arts and Sciences will offer virtual programming for the summer of 2021.
Urban IAS Virtual Institute continues in its third year. The Institute focuses on diverse Native American experiences in an urban context. Since the University of Wisconsin-Madison resides on the ancestral and contemporary lands of the Ho-Chunk Nation we will integrate place-based Ho-Chunk teachings.
From last summer we found that participants appreciate the benefits of learning from collaborating Partners and the balance of interactive synchronous learning with asynchronous outdoor activities. Additionally, with time and travel constraints removed, people from near and far were able to attend.
Course format: 8:30AM – 12:15 PM (4 day week) synchronous learning with afternoon/evening asynchronous coursework including hands-on, outdoor learning on your own. Share activity experiences, engage in online discussion, and get support and ideas from your colleagues and facilitators.
Register here by June 21 for Urban IAS.
